Space-saving beds are in great demand in an
age of loft conversions, sleep-overs,
late-night crashing and spare rooms which
have to double as offices or ironing rooms.
On the one hand, beds designed to fit small
or difficult spaces can make the difference
between a room being able to serve as
a bedroom or not, or whether it can sleep
one child or two.
On the other hand, a bed which has been designed
with an eye to everyday problems of guest
accommodation or storage can play a huge
part in making the walls of your home feel
a little more elastic.
OUR SPACE MAXIMISING KYOTO RANGE (top

Our Kyoto beds are built to a unique, space-saving,
contemporary design.
Whereas, normally, wooden bed
frames are 4 or 5 inches wider and longer
than the mattress, the width and
length of the 3 beds in the Kyoto range is
exactly the same as that of the mattress,
saving valuable floor space. The specially
curved legs also follow the corner profile
of the mattress.
These beds have proved hugely popular since
we introduced them, and have helped thousands
of customers to squeeze in a bed where they
woudl otherwise have been unable to do so.

The Kyoto Bed (top right)
The Kyoto itself raises the mattress
to normal bed height, and holds it in position
with neither headboard nor footboard.

The Kyoto with Headboard (2nd
right)
The Kyoto itself is exactly
the same as the Kyoto (above), but with the
addition of a headboard. The headboard adds
nothing to the overall width of the bed.

The Kyoto Platform (3rd right)
The Kyoto Platform is a minimalist,
low-level, Japanese-inspired bed, sharing
the unique, space-saving qualities of the
Kyoto bed. Again, width and length of
the Kyoto Platform are exactly the same as
that of the mattress and the curved legs
follow the corner profile of the mattress.

The roll-out Trundle bed (4th
right)
From a design viewpoint, the Trundle Bed, which
can fit under our other beds, is one of our
greatest successes.
The bed is 2'6" (75cm)
wide and 5'9" (175cm) in length, and solves
the ever present need for a spare bed for
occasional guests. Just pull it out on its
easy-to-roll castors.

Stackable beds? Try our Stacker bed (5th
right)
The Stacker Bed, which is available in both
2'6" (75cm) and 3'0" (90cm) widths is an
excellent solution for sleepovers and unexpected visitors.
This is a pair of single beds, based on our
Basic bed, which fit neatly one on top of
the other. When stacked, can be used as a
regular bed. You need only lift off the top
one and you have a comfortable spare bed
for your guest.
