Tidiness is really a state of mind, and its benefits are as much psychological as they are practical. Surveying a room, in which all of your possessions are in place, rather than lying in a heap on the floor or piled on top of chairs, is satisfying and calming. From a practical standpoint, it's easier to keep control of your laundry and locate the items you need quickly when your bedroom is orderly. Clothes that are put away carefully enjoy a longer life and keep in far better condition than those that lie around on the floor until needed.

Putting your socks, jumpers and faith in solid wood

Wardrobes, bedside cabinets and chests of drawers, constructed from solid pine and properly jointed using traditional methods, will stand up to any amount of opening and closing, not to mention being overstuffed as you strive to keep your life in order. Because they're built using solid wood, their surfaces won't mark irreparably. Over time, the only care, which might be required, is an occasional polishing with beeswax. Indeed, most furniture of this kind will mellow with time, and the odd knock can actually help to age it in a pleasing way. The natural patina and warmth of solid wood also lends a bedroom a certain tranquillity.

We sell three ranges of bedroom furniture: Classic, Kyoto and Shaker, all built from high-grade solid timber, with good quality hinges, rails and handles. Like our beds, we've designed all of them to represent great value for money and to provide you with years of use.

Our Classic furniture consists of high quality pieces built to substantial, typically English traditional design. The pieces can be finished in any of our waxes, lacquers or paints to coordinate with our beds.

The Kyoto furniture is designed with the same Eastern, minimalist influences as our Kyoto beds. As with the items in the Classic range, drawers are generously proportioned to maximise storage capacity. You can, of course, order the Kyoto furniture range in all our finishes.

Shaker, our third furniture range, features stainless steel rod handles, combined with typical Shaker styling. This helps create a particularly contemporary look, with all the quality and practicality of traditional bedroom furniture. As with the rest of our furniture, the Shaker range is available in all finishes, to match your bed.
